Q: What are your business hours?

A: Sunday through Friday we are open by appointment only and have no set business hours as each artist sets their own schedule. Saturdays we are open from 12pm-6pm for Walk Ins!

Q: What is the best way to book an appointment?

A: The best way to book an appointment is to fill out a Tattoo Request Form on the CONTACT page! Tattoo Requests are forwarded to the artist of your choice at the end of the day, and artists will reply as soon as possible.

Q: Can I get a piercing?

A: Unfortunately we don't currently have a piercer on staff, but we do have friends in the area! Maddie and Dave both pierce at Big City Body art, and our pal Dennis pierces at Fatty's Tattoo and Piercing in Silver Spring. When in doubt, you can also head to www.safepiercing.org to see what APP certified piercers work in your area!

Q: Do you sell Gift Certificates?

A: Unfortunately no - because all of our artists are independent contractors, we can't sell gift certificates through the shop. Some artists, however, my sell vouchers for their own appointments - ask your artist if they do sell vouchers.

Q: How do Walk-In Saturdays work?

A: Saturdays we will be open for walk-ins from 12pm-6pm. The minimum for a walk in is $150. Artist availability will vary. Walk in clients are accommodated on a first come - first served basis. If there is not an artist immediately available when you arrive, you may leave a deposit to hold your place and our front desk staff will contact you when the artist is ready for you. If there isn't enough time to accommodate your tattoo before closing, you can absolutely book your tattoo for a later date with your artist.

Q: For Walk Ins, do you do custom designs or just flash designs?

A: We'll have time for both! All of our artists have books of pre-drawn flash designs available in the shop to choose from, but artists will also be available for custom designs palm-sized or smaller. If you're interested in a larger custom piece, it is recommended that you make an appointment through our Tattoo Request Form on our CONTACT page.

Q: Do you tattoo clients under 18 years old?

A: Short answer - No. Long answer - Many places do not allow anyone under 18 to be tattooed even with the consent of a parent or legal guardian. Even if you are in a place that does allow it, there is a lot of legal paperwork involved to verify that the adult accompanying the minor is in fact their parent/legal guardian. In many cases the repercussions are severe if the required criteria are not met, including massive fines and jail time for the artist and the shop.

Q: What are your rates?

A: Rates are determined by the artist - For a price quote, please fill out a Tattoo Request Form on our CONTACT page! The shop minimum is $150.

Q: Something has come up, I'm running late or need to reschedule my appointment?

A: Things come up and life happens! Please contact your artist straight away to reschedule your appointment.  

 

Q: Do you take credit and or/cash payment on the day of the appointment:

A: All of our artists are independent contractors, so be sure to confirm with your artist the best form of payment. In a pinch, there is an ATM outside of the Dive Bar on the Ground floor. 

 

Q: Do you accept tips?

A: Like a trip to the nail salon or barbershop, tips are never expected but always appreciated. If you’re happy with your experience, a tip and a positive Yelp or Google review is always lovely :)

 

Q: How do I care for my new tattoo?

A: Its actually very easy! The shop supplies artists with bandages and our standard healing instructions, which you can find in the AFTERCARE section of our website. Some artists do offer different healing options, for which they will give you specific instructions on how to care for your tattoo. If you have any questions, please contact your artist directly!

Q: Do you host Guest Artists?

A: Absolutely! We love to meet other members of our community - if you're interested in more information on a guest spot opportunity you can fill out the inquiry box on the bottom of our CONTACT page!

Q: Are you accepting Apprentices?

A: We are not accepting any new apprentices at this time.
